The largest Persian rug in the world!

Back in Muscat we visited the Grand Mosque which the Sultan built to commemerate his 30 year reign. Unfortunately, although I covered my head, my wrists and ankels were still showing so I didn't get to go inside (we got to wait in 115 degree heat outside!) J of course could so he took this photo of what I really wanted to see. It took 600 Persian women, 6 years to make this rug. Maybe it's good I didn't see it afterall, would have made all of the other rugs I long for seem so small! They really are beautiful though and if we don't leave here with one I'll be disappointed. When does that Bush tax refund check arrive? haha!
